Jammer voor de weinige mensen die geld hadden ingezet op een komst van Alonso naar Ferrari, want het contract van Felipe Massa is verlengd tot en met 2010. Zijn huidige contract liep tot eind 2008 en er waren dus geruchten dat hij zou worden afgelost door Alonso.

De Fin Kimi Raikkonen heeft nog een contract bij Ferrari t/m 2009, dus de Italiaanse renstal hoeft zich geen zorgen te maken over aflopende contracten het komende jaar. Ze kunnen zich dus vol op de titel concentreren.
