Het is vandaag bekend gemaakt dat Fernando Alonso en McLaren (in goed overleg) uit elkaar zijn. Na wat een droomcombinatie leek te worden eind 2005, is uitgegroeid tot een nachtmerrie. Al langer waren de geruchten er, maar nu is dan eindelijk de kogel door de kerk.

Niet alleen is de vraag waar Alonso nu heen gaat (zie het vorige nieuwsbericht), het zal ook een interessante vraag zijn wie Alonso vervangt. Rosberg en Kovalainen lijken erg goede kandidaten, maar ook testrijders De la Rosa en Paffet mogen niet zomaar uitgesloten worden. Ik verwacht dat het snel duidelijk zal worden, wanneer Alonso bekend heeft gemaakt waar hij nu naartoe gaat.
