Nico Rosberg en Kazuki Nakajima zijn door Williams bevestigd als racecoureurs voor 2008. Hiermee worden de geruchten dat Rosberg naar McLaren zou gaan, de prullenbak ingegooid. Rosberg gaat zijn derde seizoen in bij Williams, waar hij in 2006 zijn debuut maakte. Nakajima debuteerde tijdens de Grand Prix van Brazilië, ruim twee weken geleden, als vervanger van Alexander Wurz.

Williams heeft inmiddels ook al te kennen gegeven een compleet nieuwe wagen te zullen bouwen. Hiermee hopen ze om dit de sprong naar de subtop te maken en langzamerhand weer een topteam te kunnen worden.
