Vorige week werd al bekend dat het contract van Glock met BMW ontbonden is en dus was de weg vrij voor Toyota om Timo Glock als tweede coureur te presenteren. De Duitser volgt Ralf Schumacher op, die is vertrokken. Glock tekende een contract voor meerdere jaren.

Glock debuteerde in 2004 al in de Jordan-Ford en reed daar vier wedstrijden mee waar hij bij zijn debuutrace in Canada meteen twee punten pakten, na diskwalificatie van Williams en Toyota. In de jaren daarna reed hij in de GP2 en was actief als testcoureur van BMW. Glock is natuurlijk erg blij met z'n contract en wil met Toyota voor de wereldtitel gaan. Wij wensen hem daar natuurlijk veel succes mee. :)
