Leuk voor de fans van Jos Verstappen: de meest succesvolle Nederlandse Formule 1 coureur gaat weer racen. In 2008 komt hij namelijk uit in de Le Mans Series, een kampioenschap bestaande uit vijf races van elk 1000 kilometer. Natuurlijk is de 24 uur van Le Mans één van de races. Verstappen heeft getekend bij Van Merksteijn Motorsport en komt met een Porsche RS Spyder aan de start. Zijn teamgenoten zijn Jeroen Bleekemolen en Peter van Merkesteijn.
