Vandaag heeft Toyota de nieuwe auto voor 2008 gepresenteerd. Eindelijk is Toyota van de evolutie afgestapt, waardoor de TF108 totaal niet op zijn voorgangers lijkt. Waar de neus vorige jaren nog gewoon recht was, heeft Toyota toch gekozen voor de 'miereneter' van Adrian Newey. Verder zijn de dubbele voorvleugel (McLaren), de plaats van de spiegels (Ferrari) en de vorm van de side-pods opvallend.

Toyota is inmiddels ook van de gedachte af dat het team nu eens de eerste overwinning gaat pakken. Ze richten zich nu op BMW. Senior General Manager Chassis Pascal Vasselon: "Zij waren vorig jaar the best of the rest, dit jaar willen wij die positie innemen. Het is nog niet realistisch om over titels te praten. Wel willen we ons significant verbeteren."

    De auto's van Toyota vond ik nooit iets aan, maar ik moet zeggen dat ik deze toch wel erg mooi vind, en dan met name de neus. :Y
