Welkom bij Apps & Stuff. Deze keer Twitter met een nieuwe update.

Twitter bracht afgelopen dinsdag 18 september versie 5.0 uit voor haar app. De app is vooral gunstig voor de iPad, maar voegt ook nieuwe functionaliteit toe aan de smartphones. De grootste vernieuwing is het design voor de iPad. Deze lijkt nu sterk op die van de applicatie voor smartphones. De tweede vernieuwing is dat fotodiensten van andere partijen nu verwijderd zijn. Dit betekent dat je voortaan gebruik moet maken van Twitter's eigen diensten om foto's in tweets vanuit de app te delen. Video's uploaden doormiddel van een andere dienst, is nog wel mogelijk.

Een derde nieuwe mogelijkheid is dat je voortaan een cover kunt kiezen, net als op Facebook. Tot slot is het voortaan ook mogelijk om in één oogopslag meerdere afbeeldingen van twitteraars te zien.
