Behalve dat er een nieuwe radiozender (Turtoise) voor de PSP versie kwam komt er nu ook nog een mini-missie bij genaamd 'Factory Fun'.

Het doel van de missie:

Huang Lee heeft een flamethrower en komt in aanraking met een paar Yardies. Die moet hij vermoorden met de flamethrower. Dit doet sommige GTA Fans denken aan de missie 'Are you going to san fierro' van San Andreas. Aan het einde van de fabriek staat een boss die Huang belaagd met granaten. Wanneer Huang de baas van de fabriek heeft verslagen moet hij ongedeerd wegvluchten zonder dat de vijand door heeft dat hun drugs in de brand staat.

In one of the new PSP-exclusive missions, “Factory Fun”, Huang is nearly met with a flamethrower to the face by some hostile Yardies, and must turn the tables on them, sending an entire room full of… illicit crops up in a blaze. Keen Grand Theft Auto fans may pick up on a slight homage here to “Are You Going to San Fierro?”, a classic mission from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. After surviving the drop of a pin-pulled grenade once the Yardie boss has been pumped full of lead, Huang must escape the warehouse unharmed... and with only the slightest hint of something burning.

Er is weer een nieuwe character, alleen voor de PSP versie, voor chinatown wars. Melanie Mallard is een journalist die achter de schermen van het gang leven gaat filmen, maar ze zal meer meemaken dan waar ze voor kwam.
