First off let me say I know I’m up against the odds! Because I’m not advertising for a well established region, I’m recruiting for a new region. In fact it was founded a few days ago, and I’m looking for fellow founding fathers(/mothers). It's called Polis.

The region is Nationstates only direct democracy. That means from the moment you get citizenship you can take an active part in making the laws and ruling the region.

Founded on January 2nd, of 2011, Democratium was founded by NationStates veterans who have played the game for over four years. Furthermore, the region of Democratium personifies everything that could be wanted in a new, active, and exciting region: the aforementioned knowledgeable veterans, a beautiful and easily accessible forum, and the ideals that push new regions to exemplary heights.

It is with all of this in mind, that I would like to invite you to join us, the Democratites, in Democratium. If you would like to give Democratium a chance, then we would love to see you within our region. If, after joining, you feel that Democratium isn't for you, then you are more than welcome to leave in search of another NationStates region.

The Dubious Democracy of Communista Party Land

Hello, I am from the Baltic States Alliance.

We are a recently founded (4th April 2011) region with what we hope will soon be a vibrant and active community. We are open to all and do not hold an ideology and will hold elections every three months for ministers. There will be a board of ministers who will discuss matters on the forum on a monthly basis but will keep in contact in-game, telegramming each other regularly. To become a minister you will have to state your candidacy on the forums in an allocated thread and post a manifesto. There will also be a thread including the election dates.The WA Delegate position will be fixed but the WA Delegate will hold no more power than any other member of the board.

We are currently setting up a http://balticstatesalliance.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=register forum and hope this will allow members to communicate and converse about the region and related things even outside the NationStates world. We are looking to establish things such as a court of law for regional disputes, griefing, and other accusations. As well as this we are also going to set up a regional newspaper that will be telegrammed to members or e-mailed if they so wish which will relate regional and inter-regional happenings to members.

We do not have regional parties and do not wish to establish these as we think they would divide members to a group instead of letting them be candidate specific. This and more rules and information will be put into the constitution which we are currently setting up and hope to have some contribution from our members for.

You can be an active member who contributes a vast variety of opinions and ideas or simply relax and enjoy watching regional happenings.
