-Remastered in HD. The original Dragonball Z anime was animated completely by hand using old style tools. This meant that often cels would wobble, or there'd be grain on the animation. Now, all of this has been cleaned, and corrected.-Redrawn. Being a rushed, weekly series, there were a lot of times when the art was low standard. And also, as the series developed, the art style developed too. For some shots, there appears to have been some redrawing done, from the backgrounds being more vibrant to characters looking more on-model. -Filler Free. We don't know exactly how far this goes, but sources have claimed that the anime will progress much faster, and will tie into Akira Toriyama's original manga story much closer. It has also been stated, but not 100% confirmed, that the anime will be condensed from 291 episodes to 100 episodes. This means no more drawn out fights. No sudden cuts to Master Roshi playing cards with Oolong during a dramatic moment. And no more staring. -Revoiced. Almost all of the original Seiyuu have reprised their roles, except for those that have since died, who are being replaced. The original anime was recorded in Mono audio, which is very dated by today's standards. Now in Stereo, the voices will be much clearer. -New Music. The original soundtrack for Dragonball Z was composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi, comprising of several great pieces of music. However, these were not only recorded in Mono, but were also in quite small number. The new soundtrack, composed by Kenji Yamamoto who composed a few of the movie themes and the video game music. This music, in Stereo, promises to be higher octane energy, much more like the Burst Limit or Budokai music. Much more fitting to today's anime soundtrack standards. And hopefully in greater number too. -New Opening & Ending. The new series will also get a brand new Opening and Ending song and animation. This is interesting not only for the fact of a new Dragonball Opening them, but also to see newly animated Dragonball animation. The Opening theme is; "Dragon Soul" by Takayoshi Tanimoto and the Ending theme is; "Yeah! Break! Care Break!" by Takayoshi Tanimoto, performing with Takafumi Iwasaki. Opening: WATCH IN HD!
