Ik zat te surfen op mijn favoriete gamenewsflash, en het allernieuwste topic heet 'We were right all along; Grand Theft Auto V: Vice to be shown at E3!'.
It's the usual time of the year when rumours start to spread. This time someone sent us a photo of what appears to be a list of companies showing off their new games at the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo. According to the list, Take-Two Interactive will show off their newest addition to the GTA franchise: Grand Theft Auto V: Vice!
But please, before you start your victory dance, I'd like to point out some things which might prove that this is in fact fake:
-GTA games are always shown under the name of 'Rockstar Games' not Take-Two.
-It's an image file, why not the usual PDF or word document? PDF released now. But has been taken down from google docs, Rockstar pulling some strings?
-Why announce such a big game on E3, with the chance of being pushed out of the spotlight by other big announcements?
Now a list as to why this isn't fake;
-It's a private meeting room on the E3 Showplan that Take-Two has reserved. It's the same room that has been used the past few years where other high release products have been shown behind closed doors such as an early beta of Grand Theft Auto: IV.
-Contacting the E3 organisation reveals that T2 has indeed reserved booth(s): 2823 (public lot), PMR308A (meeting room).
-Publishers are usually the group that reserve these booths and NOT Rockstar Games.
-The PDF has been removed from Google Docs, indicating that Rockstar Games may have ordered a take-down.
En dan wil ik nog wel een bericht van die site mededelen van 9 december 2009, dus toen ze RDR nog aan het maken waren.
Yah, we've all been waiting for this question to be answered. No, GTA5 is not coming out by the end of this year, so let's get over that rumor. Rockstar seems to be answering questions... mildly, but with a hint added. Dan Houser (of Rockstar Games) made this quote:
“There’s a Western game in the works for next spring, and the next GTA to think of. ‘We’ll think of a city first, then the characters,’ says Houser. The script he will end up co-writing will run to around 1,000 pages, nearly ten times as much as a feature film.“
Next Spring... 2010. If Rockstar's pattern of GTA Games is true, along with the additional hint in EFLC manual, then we already know the city. There is no way in hell that Rockstar is going to make a 1000 page script in a couple of months, and get all the animations, textures, models, sounds, etc. in there too.
Michael Pashter says, "While we still expect a GTA game in calendar 2010, it is not clear that the game will be released before the end of Take-Two’s fiscal year ending October 31, 2010.”
(confirms not enough time to finish in like 3-4 months of time)
LASTLY, Anthony Gikas says, "Our confidence in the company’s profitability profile is improving as product flow for FY 2010 is greatly improved and Grand Theft Auto V is expected in FY ‘11.”"
2011, lads. Not to far away. Hopefully Rockstar will improve their failure IV Port for PC, and maybe put a little more cheats in it. It all depends how the Take-Two and Rockstar sales go, that will tell us exactly when GTA V[ice City] will be released
En nog een clue naar GTA V: Gamespot (1 van de bekendste gaming news sites)
Er is dus denk ik veel kans dat de volgende Grand Theft Auto, zich in Vice City zal afspelen. ;D
