Vraagje over een externe harde schijf

Een vriend van me heeft bestanden op een 2tb externe harde schijf. Nu wilt hij er Windows op installeren en nu was de vraag: Behoudt hij de bestanden die hij erop heeft staan als hij er Windows op installeert?

    Sowieso is het niet slim om Windows op een externe HDD te zetten, maar als hij het wilt doen is het handig om een back-up van deze bestanden te maken.

    Nou z'n schijf was stuk en hij had een externe harde schijf van 2tb liggen, maar er staan dus alleen wat bestanden op die hij wilt behouden.

    Als het via een esata kabel(voor de snelheid) en met een ntfs format gaat hoeft hij niet perse alles kwijt te raken. Maak in schijfbeheer een nieuwe partitie voor de bestanden die hij wilt houden. Als je dit doet gaan ze niet verloren. Maar een back-up is altijd handig.
