This topic is the place to report small (or big) mistakes in the English version of WikiGTA.org.

Don't report pages that are not (yet) available, as we are fully aware, that not all pages are translated into English.

Please write your reports in English, so that everyone interested can read them.

Look at this Quote from the Freight Missions page:
Needed vehicle: Brown Streak of Freight. You can start this mission after you've unlocked Las Venturas.
'of' must be 'or'.

By the way, I see sometimes 'Storyline' but I see also 'Story line'...

Fixed, along with some other rewriting on that page.

We'll have to discuss the Storyline issue within the team.. to be continued

There is an error regarding the original GTA:

The main page states that upon arrival in the last city - Vice City, you work for the triads.

The correct info is that you work for Uncle Fu of the Triads upon your arrival in San Andreas, and then El Burro.

When you get to Vice City, you begin working for Samuel Deever, and end up switch side to work for Brother Markus.

I've Found some wrong words at only one page. Maybe its an idea that you're going to look for more at the whole wikigta english version page. Only reed it all, and you will find enough.

Well, lets go to my collectables.

The most striking difference is off "cource"(Course) the change to a Third Person View

http://en.wikigta.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Aut...ies#GTA_III_era

It can be find at the clause called GTA II ERA

GTA San Andreas is set in San Andreas and hereby completes the row of the original Grand Theft Auto "cities"(City's)

http://en.wikigta.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Aut...ies#GTA_III_era

It can be find at the clause called GTA San Andreas

Another thing I have found are the levels of the clausetitels.

Ass you can see the titels above are ho they standing now, and the titels below with a grey line and an arrow beyond it are the places where they use to be standing, well I think because this isn't look very good now.

Noted. I'll check the GTA1 storyline later.

Also, GTA2 takes place three weeks in the future (giving it no actual solid date), rather than taking place in 2013. Check the game's website.

The website states the year 2013 here.

Fixed. 'Off' should be 'of', too.

As far as I know, the English plural for '-y' is '-ies'.

Another thing I have found are the levels of the clausetitels.

Not sure what you mean, but I think it's a browser issue. The headers look all right for me.

http://en.wikigta.org/wiki/WikiGTA:Members

Here you see by Categories: WikiGTA:Members.

First: Here must a space between the ':' and the 'Members'.

And second: It's a red link, what means it doesn't excised. But I am on the page of the WikiGTA members. :bonk:

First: It's not a sentence, it's meant to devide both terms and at the same time to show the members of Wikigta are meant. I think putting a space in between would not be more correct than the way it's used now.

Second: Don't forget the page WikiGTA:Members is something else than the Category:WikiGTA:Members. If you take a look at the Dutch version of that category, this one, you can see what the true meaning of the link is.

The link is still red because we don't have the so called userboxes on our Userpages yet and as a result our userpages won't show up in this category. As soon as we do have the userboxes, the link will become blue and becomes useful.

Thanks for helping us improving the wiki, we do appreciate all help :klap:

On the page http://en.wikigta.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto you can see on the first line:

The very first Grand Theft Auto came out in oktober 1997. In its time, the game was...

'Oktober' must be 'October', and yes, with the capital ;)

-------------

I don't know exactly it is a translationmistake, but on the main page you can see the words 'Nederlandse WikiGTA', in the right corner below, with a link to the Dutch WikiGTA. Must 'Nederlandse WikiGTA' not be 'Dutch WikiGTA'?

-------------

On the page http://www.gtaforum.nl/index.php?act=post&...138&t=50316 you can see 'october', but it must be 'October' (two times!). And 'april' must also be 'April' and 'january' must be 'January'. All this mistakes you can find beneath 'History'.

Check. A lot of months are written incorrectly on the English WikiGTA. We'll check them all when we have the time, so it won't be necessary to report more incorrect months here. Thanks for the notice.

That's done with a purpose: The link is there to help people who visit the English WikiGTA, but aren't able to read English. The same applies to the link 'Engelse WikiGTA' on the Dutch WikiGTA, and the interwiki links at the left on both wiki's.

On the page http://www.gtaforum.nl/index.php?act=post&...138&t=50316 you can see 'october', but it must be 'October' (two times!). And 'april' must also be 'April' and 'january' must be 'January'. All this mistakes you can find beneath 'History'.

I think that link's a wrong copy paste, but we'll find the months without capitals when we check them. See above.

QUOTE(BeavFlyer33 @ 24 May 2007, 04:18:55) *

Also, GTA2 takes place three weeks in the future (giving it no actual solid date), rather than taking place in 2013. Check the game's website.

The website states the year 2013 here.

Touché, although the instruction book, page 2, says - quote - "Three weeks into the future. One teeming city. Seven street gangs. Unlimited criminal opportunity". Plus, upon visiting the website (http://www.rockstargames.com/gta2/), they give your two options- the current date, and three weeks in the future.

I never took notice to the date the website's journal gave. This may be debatable.

It is. But 2013 is the only 'real' year given of GTA2, while the term 'three weeks into the future' can be seen as a metaphor. Besides, how am I supposed to put 'three weeks into the future' in a time line? :clown:

I had already a discussion with GTA-Sheep about TransFender with a capital and Transfender without a capital. Now the mistake, in the English version I found this mistake also: click(a Dutch description), click, click(at this page the link to the TransFender page doesn't work because the link links to Transfender, without a capital 'F')
