Ik heb een vraag. Ik heb een laptop met een mooi groot scherm (17") en een resolutie van 1440x900. Als ik mij n laptop echter dichtklap terwijl hij aanstaat gaat hij in stand-by maar hij verandert ook de resolutie naar 1024x768. Ik draai Windows Vista Business en heb een 8600m GT videokaart. Weet iemand wat ik aan dit probleem kan doen?

Want ik heb even gezocht op internet en het schijnt bij Dell laptops voor te komen. Hier een quote om het te fixen.

Go into the registry (regedit.exe).

Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video] and find all the keys named “LidBehavior“ anywhere under this folder. (HINT: once I got to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video], I had to drill down 2 or 3 levels in a couple different places. I found 2 LidBehavior keys.) For each LidBehavior, change the value from 11 to 10. Reboot. Problem solved.

Ik weet niet of het werkt hoor...

Verder schijnt hier iemand te zijn die denkt dat je je BIOS moet upgraden..ik weet niet of je hier verstand van hebt enzo? Volgens mij is het niet echt makkelijk om dat te doen maarja...dit is wat ie zegt.

1. First you need to update your system to BIOS 1.06. Our problem was specifically addressed in the readme file which came along with that BIOS version. To update the BIOS you need to hit the ThinVantage key on your Thinkpad and update your system (cannot give you the command's exact name since I am working with a German OS). Second, you must select not only to show critical updates but all available updates. Select the BIOS and start the process. Your old BIOS file will be saved in case you wish to use it later.

2. After the new BIOS is installed enter the presentation manager (FN + F7) and choose LCD Screen only.

3. Close your lid and open it. The resolution should now permamently switch to 800 x 600 (and not pop back to 1024).

4. Enter your Display settings (where you can normally change resolution) and change your resolution to your LCD's native resolution.

5. You are done!

Bedankt man! Ik heb inderdaad een Dell laptop en de waarden in de LidBehavior keys veranderen heeft gewerkt! Je bent
