    Mods kunnen verschillende dingen zijn. Hier op het forum is het een afkorting voor 'Moderators', maar de mods die hier in dit forum staan, worden gevraagd, worden gemaakt (en ga zo verder...) zijn modificaties. Modificaties zijn kleine of grote aanpassingen in een spel. Hierdoor krijg je bijvoorbeeld superkrachten (Superman Mod van GTA San Andreas) of een andere auto (Yamaha Aerox, een motor). Er zijn een aantal soorten: Mapping (objecten in het spel zetten), SCM-Modding/Missiescripting (missies maken) en Texturing/Modelling (het veranderen van een auto, een spoiler toevoegen ofzo). Dit zijn de hoofdsoorten, je kan het wijzigen van data-bestanden ook modden noemen. Met het wijzigen van data-bestanden krijg je dus bijvoorbeeld superkrachten.
