Alderney

Ik zat even te kijken naar een kaart van Frankrijk en wat zag ik daar, vlak voor de kust van Frankrijk lag het eilandje Alderney dat behoort tot Engeland. Ik weet niet of dit al eerder opgevallen was.

Hieronder een screenshot van Google Earth.

Als je het niet gelooft, zoek dan in Google Earth naar ''Alderney, UK''.

    Ok... Maar; Alderney is gebasseerd op een andere plaats in Amerika.

    Dus misschien hebben ze de naam van dat Eiland. Maar het bestaat niet echt in Amerika denk ik.

    Wist ik al, daar werd ook al naar verwezen bij de Liberty City History Quiz bij de vraag waar Alderney bekend om is. Één van de opties daarvan was "Named after a shitty island of France where old people go to die."

    Volgens mij is het juist wel naar dat eiland vernoemd. ( 1 van de kanaal eilanden. ) Net zoals Jersey (Als in New Jersey) er ook 1 is...

    Alderney is de GTA IV vervanging voor "New Jersey", Jersey is een Klein eilandje in het kanaal.

    Als GTA IV naam hebben we daarom waarschijnlijk gekozen voor Alderney, zoals je zelf hebt gevonden is dat ook een klein eilandje in het kanaal.
