King Room Geplaatst: 10 november 2006 Rapport Geplaatst: 10 november 2006 Ik weet niet dat het officieel is want ik heb er nog niets over gelezen!! 11/9/2006: Eminem slams Mariah over relationship Eminem has hit out at Mariah Carey over the couple's relationship in 2001. Carey has denied that the pair were dating, telling TV presenter Larry King the following year: "I hung out with him, I spoke to him on the phone. I think I was probably with him a total of four times. And I don't consider that dating somebody." However, the rapper contradicts the story, and made his feelings clear on the matter during a recent radio show: "Yes, me and Mariah did have a relationship for about a good six, seven months. It didn't work. I wasn't really into what she was into; our personalities collided. She's a diva, and I'm a little more regular, I guess." He added that he was hurt at her comments, and felt it necessary to bother twisting the truth: "I can never deny her talent, but the fact that she denied we ever had something, that's bad." King Room Geplaatst: 15 november 2006 Rapport Geplaatst: 15 november 2006 Eminem Signs Deal To Star In Old Western Flick Fresh off the success of his guest spot on Akon's "Smack That," Eminem has recently inked a deal with International Creative Management to star in an upcoming old Western movie. The role comes after the rapper turned down a role to star in the new Samuel L Jackson film, "Jumper," claiming he wanted to stay away from Hollywood. But, he has since changed his mind. The new film is a remake of an old TV Western called "Have Gun Will Travel," where Eminem will play the character called Palladin. It has also rumored that the rapper will write and be featured on the flick's soundtrack. Bron: EMINEM DESKSITE Reageren
DaddyPimp Geplaatst: 15 november 2006 Rapport Geplaatst: 15 november 2006 Young Buck's album has been pushed back to Febuary, Sha Money and 50 feel that is a better time to release the album, album should be fire, banging production from Dr.Dre (three tracks), Eminem, Hi-Tek, Lil Jon, Jazzy Pha, Features guest appearnces from 50 Cent, LLoyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Jeezy, T.I., Pimp C, Trick Daddy and C-Bo. Also Young Buck and Young Jeezy have a mixtape that they did together coming out. Now to the big news, 50 Cent is ready to take back the top spot in hip-hop... His new album is getting closer to being finished and could be out by Febuary? It will feature production from Dr.Dre (four tracks), Eminem, Hi-Tek, Timbaland, Needlez, Havoc, Scott Storch, JR.Rotem (sp?),Lil Jon and a few others unknown and up and coming producers. The album could be a double disc and it will be a very diverse album, one side a more gangsta, straight hip hop type album the other showing a more versatile side of 50 doing club bangers and other type songs. The guest appearnce list is crazy... The Whole G-Unit (they even mentioned M.O.P being on it!), Eminem, LL Cool J (two tracks), Chamillionaire (two tracks), Ludacris, Ciara, Trick Trick, Nicole Sherzinger (sp?) from the Pussycat Dolls, Bone Thugs and Snoop Dogg. Guest appearnces will be sliced in half if the album is not a double disc. Also rumor has it that a track between G-Unit and Dipset may be featured on the album, Juelz Santana, LLoyd Banks, Cam'Ron and 50 Cent Another possiblity is G-Unit and Dip-Set doing a NY type song/track featuring Dip-Set, 50, Banks, Mobb Deep and M.O.P. Hopefully Heatmakerz producing that track. Also Tony Yayo is working on putting out a mixtape which will also feature 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, M.O.P, Spider Loc, Young Buck, Young Hot Rod, Willy Northpole, D-Tay, Trick Trick, Lil Scrappy, Joel Ortiz, Mazaradi Fox, 40 Gloc and two young artists Tony is working on putting on, one from Southside Queens the other from Flatbush Brooklyn. Few Rumors- Trick Trick will be signed to G-Unit midwest and will be the president of G-Unit midwest. Sha Money XL and 50 are close to getting Trick Trick of Universal-Motown. Trick Trick plans to sign artists from Detroit, Flint and Chicago to the label. There may be bad blood between Havoc and the G-Unit camp after all. Apeparntly Havoc wants to produce more tracks with people outside of G-Unit then in G-Unit which does not make 50 happy because that is a big reason why he brought Mobb Deep to G-Unit (because of Havoc's production work). Also Havoc was not happy with 50 not wanting Big Noyd to be on Blood Money. Stay tuned... A G-Unit compilation album should be out in the summer while Young Buck and Lil Scrappy are talking about putting together a G-Unit South album with artists like D-Tay and Lil Murder under them and feature guest apeparnces from Young Jeezy, B.G., Status Quo, 3-6 Mafia and 8Ball & MJG. But no, he hasn't joined the army. The December issue of Spin magazine reports that in the interrogation rooms of Guantanamo Bay, the U.S. military attempting to break down Muslim prisoners with ear-splitting heavy metal and rap in an effort to get detainees to talk. The lists of artists reportedly drafted to help break down prisoners reads like an eclectic iPod playlist. It's heavy on rap (Tupac, Eminem, and Dr. Dre) and hard rock and metal (Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Rage Against the Machine) but also sprinkled with pop (Britney Spears, Matchbox Twenty), classic rock (Aerosmith, Meat Loaf) and---here's an odd choice---kids music from the head-scratcher (Stanley Brothers, Barney the dinosaur). Aanrader Reageren

King Room Geplaatst: 29 november 2006 Rapport Geplaatst: 29 november 2006 Re-Up to make early "debut" on the net Eminem's new Shady/Aftermath compilation Eminem Presents the Re-Up is the latest hip-hop release to make an early "debut" on the net, which means that I've been spending the past few hours weeding out the crap from the quality. Considering we've got 22 tracks and that they run the gamut from recycled beats to relative genius, it took some work. There are several quality songs on the album, most notably all of the stuff that Stat Quo is featured on (especially "Get Low" and "Tryin to Win"). Obviously, this is a good sign for the Aftermath's Atlanta rep and should serve to raise expectations for the long-awaited Statlanta. Another general observation is that most of the stuff I really liked on this release came from all the producers other than Eminem. Other than the remix to "Ski Mask Way" (which actually improves upon the overlooked Disco D original from The Massacre), Eminem doesn't really produce any true gems here, with the stellar cuts come courtesy of Alchemist, Dre, and Witt and Pep. Which sort of confirms my suspicion that Eminem isn't all that great of a producer and that he's been recycling his best song - Jay-Z's "Moment of Clarity" - for the past three years. But whatever. One of the Dre tracks on the album is the title track, which isn't great as much as it is important. Why? Because "The Re-Up" announces the return of the Old 50 Cent. You know, the pre-Candy Shop 50, the "I'm not a marksman while sparkin' so I spray random" 50. There's no way to know whether this version is here to say or whether he will return to his quest of becoming the biggest R&B star on the planet, but I did an auditory double take the first time I heard this song. The whole thing start off in rather innocuous fashion. A pretty mellow beat box kicks off the track before a throbbing base and typical Dre synth merge with a rather strange "boom, boom, cha" chant. The whole effect gives some sense of atmosphere and we are clued in that this is to be a "hard" track, especially when Eminem tries to launch into that aggressive style that used to be his whole persona but now feels like a role he's playing. He has a few typical Eminem rapid-fire rhymes that are on par with his verse from Obie Trice's "We All Die Someday" (probably his last great guest appearance), but certainly doesn't blow the lid off it. By the time the song was 1:45 in, I was ready to chalk it up as a total loss, and I'll be honest, I definitely wasn't expecting Ferrari 50 to save the day. But boy does he ever. He launches right into a kiss my ass revelry that includes the lines "the clean parts/the s***** parts/my bullet wounds, my beauty marks/the fifth will tear your ass apart" and that just glides over the beat, suddenly making the previously boring track sound haunting and menacing. I hit rewind four times before moving on. After a brief trip to Genericville (although it still sounds good), the beat changes up and splices in the instrumental from "In Da Club," which is both a little surprising but also kind of nice, like getting a phone call from an old friend. And the change of pace is perfect, because 50 switches his flow up right along with the beat. Not only that, but he pulls off his greatest coup on the track within this mini interlude as he combats all of the vitriol and recent success of the Game with just a few bars, rhyming: "I carried Game's style for nine months and gave birth to it/now I feel like a proud father watching him do it." 50 really only has one card to play with Game and that is that he, in effect, "made him." I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment, especially since Game seems better now without 50, but the argument sure was presented beautifully. Less is more and all that. After the brief segue into 50's favorite pastime of dissing Game, the beat is flipped back to the throbbing bassline, which 50 greets with manic energy and hammers home ("Every day is Dre day, front and cause a melee/turn a town upside down/with a frown upside down/I smile and do something foul/and watch my money pile/I'm f****** with straight stacks/I'm kicking you straight facts/I hit you where they bag it punk and bring me mine right back"). All told, it's my favorite 45 seconds of 50 Cent since he obliterated Ja Rule on "Back Down." And I have to tell you, it makes this song one to remember. We can only hope this version of 50 Cent (he also provides some memorable lyrics two tracks later on "Jimmy Crack Corn") is here to stay. Reageren
Reageren
