[TH]Grand Theft Auto Vice City: Long Night Modification[TH]

Grand Theft Auto Vice City: Long Night is a modification for Grand Theft Auto Vice City by Hellfish Productions.

[H1]Premise[H1]

The residents of Vice City have turned into zombies due to an unknown virus and criminal gangs roam the city, while the Vice City Army Reserve and SWAT try to hold out in Interglobal Studios on Prawn Island.

[H1]Characters[H1]

[H2]Unnamed Main Soldier Character[H2]

The unnamed main character, insofar as he could be called “Main” as the whole point of the modification is playing as different characters with different viewpoints, evacuates from Fort Baxter Military Base to the Film Studios with Ramirez in the beginning of the storyline. After the evacuation he manages to do some service for the Army, such as destroying gang barricades and transporting barrels of inflammable petrol before dying heroically in a Dodo kamikaze crash in a desperate, and, as it turns out, successful, attempt to destroy a tank captured by a gang and held in the Haitian Crack Factory.

[H2]Ramirez[H2]

Ramirez is the main character’s friend who is killed in the first mission while the main character tries to play the tape in the VRock studio. Ramirez provides some help in the said mission by shooting at the zombies chasing the tank with an M4.

[H2]Marijuana Dude[H2]

This personage could be found sitting on the model of the UFO in the film studios. He has saved his diabetic girlfriend’s life a few times and is inclined to risk his life to get narcotics.

[H2]Yellow Bikini Woman[H2]

This quite overweight woman was assaulted in the hospital by the Psycho, who has set fire to the building. She gives the main character only one recollection mission.

[H2]Woman Sitting on the Bed[H2]

This woman is the Marijuana Dude’s girlfriend. She is diabetic, has a sister, and is not afraid to go on zombie-infested streets to find her. However, her sister was mentioned in only one mission.

[H2]Pimp[H2]

The Pimp tells you the story of how he has managed to save his “girls”, prostitutes, and kill the Mario Brothers, which raises the question of the Pimp’s psychical stability.

Note: Pimp’s missions are not available in one of the storyline branches.

[H2]Comic Black Guy[H2]

This character appears inside the Stage B and gives some of the hardest missions in the storyline, for example, one of them being akin to “Demolition Man” from the original game.

Quite unfortunately, as is with the Pimp, his missions could not be accessed in some of the storyline branches.

[H1]Gangs[H1]

Only two of the gangs appear in the modification, and other two are implied to be there.

[H2]Vercettis[H2]

The Vercetti Gang appears in the Drop Dead Rush mission

The Vercetti Gang appears in the Drop Dead Rush mission, where you have to destroy their barricades.

[H2]Bikers[H2]

Bikers appear in almost every single Army mission.

[H2]Haitians[H2]

Haitians are implied to be an active gang due to the fact that the Tank in Drop Dead Rush was in the Haitian Crack Factory.

[H2]Sharks/Streetwannabees[H2]

Sharks are also implied to be active as one of the missions utilizes Gang Burritos as the enemy vehicles.

"Also, Hellfish Productions has released another version of the modification that work with the Vice City Total Conversions "GTA: Liberty City", which brings the city of GTA III to a more modern engine, and "Myriad Islands", which is a fan-made large island. The names of the Hellfish modifications are "Liberty: Infected" and "Myrad: Infected". Sadly, the modifications to the total conversions do not include sets of missions, thus rendering the replayability extremely small.

We appreciate your effort to contribute to the wiki, but please don't start making articles before you know we can actually use them. We currently do not accept contributions in the form of complete articles (I see the English FAQ isn't very clear on this, sorry about that).

We haven't decided yet on how to accept English editors. When we do, we'll let you know.

About the edit-issue, I suggest you use the KiwiGTA skin (select at the bottom of the board); it has most buttons in English. The 'English' setting isn't working properly, but you should find your way around.

Here is a small question: Why not? Long Night is a modification to GTA, so it could be on a GTA Wiki. Also, what about that Outtakes article? Was it put on the Wiki yet?

As much as I hate to doublepost, I have to say this.

Firstly, how to get to the Skins page?

Secondly, I have an idea... Maybe creating a Modifications page, or rather 3 pages - for III, VC, and SA? You know, not just any mod, but the more important ones.

Long Night. Myriad Islands 1+2. Defamation of Character. Great Theft Car. Liberty City: Twenty Ten.

You know. Not that bad a thing, that would be. Hm.

So, how is it going on implementing those pages? Really. I sincerely want to see them on there.
