Jordan from PlanetGTA has posted his full review of his experiences with Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas. He offers a pretty honest view of how he feels about the way our mod is going. I highly suggest reading it if any of you are interested in what exactly our mod will be. Though his article definitely focuses more on the other things you can do within the race mod, it still is very informative and entertaining. You will also be able to find a few screenshots and videos over there ;)

We hope everyone is having fun with the map editor. As many of the community have pointed out, it is quite hard to get your maps onto a server so you can play them with other people. Server owners also need a way to find new and fun maps to put on their servers. While MTA:SA R1 was in development, a seperate web development team was hard at work creating a site designed for sharing maps. We′ve just released the site to the public!

It has come to our attention that there is an error in the server that prevents it from loading more then 256 maps. Maps are loaded in alphabetical order. We recommend server admins to not download every single map but to make a selection. We will remove this error in our next server release.

We have been analyzing reports of crashes ingame and have come to a conclusion about a vast majority of crashes. This crash is mostly caused in the freeroam.map file due to the large number of vehicle change pickups. After further investigation we realized that GTA has an internal limit only allowing 20 different vehicle types to be loaded at any point in time. What this means is if more than 20 players are all in different vehicles, then everyone will crash.

Today the third alpha version of MTA:SA Deathmatch was released to our Quality Assurance team. So far the response has been positive and it works very well, a lot more than we expected.
